How do I know if I need biocompatibility testing?

We recommend it for patients with known autoimmune conditions, chemical sensitivities, multiple previous dental material reactions, or chronic inflammatory illness. It’s not necessary for every patient — but for those who have had unexplained reactions to dental work in the past, it can be genuinely clarifying.

Is Invisalign actually BPA-free?

Yes. Invisalign’s Smarttrack aligner material does not contain BPA. This has been independently verified. We’re happy to share the material composition documentation at your consultation if you’d like to review it.

I still have amalgam fillings. Can I do cosmetic work at the same time?

Yes, and for some patients it makes sense to coordinate cosmetic treatment with safe mercury filling removal. We’ll map out a comprehensive plan that addresses both goals in the right sequence, starting with any removal that benefits your health and then building toward your cosmetic goals.
