Dr. G Brings State-of-the-Art Technology to His Holistic Dental Practice!
Dr. G is dedicated to providing patients with the best treatment possible. To assist in his diagnoses and contribute to a healthier, happier community, Holistic Dental Center is among the first in the local area to add a CS 8100 3D extraoral imaging system to its office.
The system captures highly detailed 3D radiographs, or X-rays. These true-to-life 3D images help Dr. Gashinsky provide quicker and more accurate diagnoses; improved treatment planning; and better patient care. Plus, the CS 8100 3D provides more services in-office, reducing Dr. G’s need to refer patients to outside imaging centers, meaning fewer visits and faster treatment. The unit also has the capability of capturing 2D panoramic images and scanning patients’ dental impressions or plaster models to create high precision 3D digital models of teeth.
“Teeth are three-dimensional objects, and the CS 8100 3D system provides the most accurate view of patients’ anatomy, all at relatively low radiation,” says Dr. Gashinsky. “It is an industry-leading system that allows me to view a patient’s anatomical situation from every angle, with exact scale accuracy.”
Featuring one of the highest 3D image resolutions available, the CS 8100 3D offers Dr. Gashinsky an unprecedented level of anatomical insight into specific dental regions of interest to help diagnose more accurately and treat with confidence. Patient health and safety is Dr. G’s greatest concern; because the CS 8100 3D system allows him to limit the exposure area for examination, patients experience significantly less radiation than when compared to traditional CT imaging.
The CS 8100 3D also features a special “Flash Scan” mode that allows Dr. G to capture X-ray images in as little as seven seconds.
“Flash Scan mode reduces the dose of radiation by 50 percent over standard acquisition and helps usadhere to the ALARA—or, ‘As Low As Reasonably Achievable’— principle, which we follow to ensure every precaution is taken to minimize patient exposure when obtaining the necessary diagnostic images needed for treatment planning,” says Dr. G.
Additionally, the sharp, highly detailed and contrasted images captured by the CS 8100 3D give patients a unique view of their own dental structure, allowing them to see and understand exactly what Dr. Gashinsky sees.
“I want my patients to understand completely why I recommend certain treatment options. When I can show them 3D images, they have access to the same information that I do and can feel comfortable with their decision to proceed with treatment,” Dr. G adds.
An additional benefit of capturing digital images is that they’re available for almost immediate viewing and can be easily shared with referring doctors or insurance carriers, which means quicker turnaround between diagnosis and treatment.
The CS 8100 3D is the most compact 3D imaging system on the market and features a brushless induction motor that makes the process of capturing images vibration-free and virtually noiseless. The system’s open design makes exams more comfortable for patients, with both seated and standing options to accommodate patients of all sizes, even those in wheelchairs.
